    Features of Master’s Degree Program

Our master's degree program focuses on building professional English communication competencies of students with the curriculum that includes the following six features:

1.Inter-disciplinary Integrated Curriculum Design: In the spirit of innovation, the curriculum combines the training of English and professional knowledge, especially cross-cultural communication skills, which are extremely sought-after in a variety of professional contexts. The course contents highlight both the theoretical and practical aspects in hope of cultivating English-speaking professionals with cross-lingual and cross-cultural communication skills.

2.Diversified Off-campus and Overseas Internship Courses: Students are encouraged to take overseas internship opportunities, apart from domestic ones, during the summer vacation as their last mile before entering the workplace.

3.Off-site Learning Experiences: Students in the master's degree program have opportunities to participate in short-term programs or exchange programs in overseas sister schools or visit educational institutions in China, Singapore or Hong Kong for a short period to learn away from home. Students will benefit from such cross-cultural experiences and expand their international horizons.

4.Dual Education System: The dual education system in collaboration with different foreign universities makes it possible for entitled students to study in Taiwan for the first year and study abroad for the second year. Students joining this program have the opportunity to obtain two master’s degrees before graduation, which will greatly enhance their competitiveness in the job market.

5.Five-year (3+2) Dual Degree Program: The entitled undergraduate students in the English department are permitted to take some of the master's degree courses in their senior year, and complete their bachelor's and master’s degrees in five (3+2) years. This program allows certain elite students to continue their in-depth learning and shorten their learning period at school.

6.Graduation Threshold of English Competency: All of the master’s students must at least achieve 280 points at the College Student English Proficiency Test (CSEPT) Level 2 (equivalent to 800 points at TOEIC), or attain equivalent levels in other English proficiency tests before they graduate from the master’s degree program.
