Overall Aims-

        The objective of the English Department is to cultivate English  professionals who demonstrate general communicative proficiency, profession-related language proficiency, appreciation of culture, global perspective and moral integrity.

To achieve these goals, students must develop

1.The ability to interpret and translate.

2.The skills to communicate and negotiate.

3.The capacity to conduct research for the preparation of 

   further studies on cultural studies, literature and other

   relative disciplines in graduate schools.

5-Year Junior college

        The objective for the Junior College is to cultivate students into all-rounders, with high-level English proficiency, Humanistic qualities and moral integrity. They will learn the skills of interpreting and translation, as well as professional knowledge. All students are required to major in English and to minor in one of the following languages, including French, German, Spanish, and Japanese. The training at Wenzao will prepare students for competitions in the industry.

Two-year College-

        The curriculum design focuses on interdisciplinary education like trade, translation, and communication management. Students can take various courses according to their interests and their career planning. Required courses emphasize the cultivation of listening, speaking, reading and writing in English.

Four-year College-

         The curriculum design for the Four-year College is to help students to maintain physical and spiritual health and acquire the capacity of independent thinking. Undergraduates have to pass the benchmark of high-intermediate English proficiency test before their graduation.
